Trailer: 3D Printing Documentary Set for Release in Theaters and on Netflix

Print The Legend, a documentary co-directed by Luiz Lopez and J. Clay Tweel and produced by Seth Gordon (King of Kong, Horrible Bosses, The Identity Thief), has already earned a Special Jury Recognition Award for Editing & Storytelling at this year’s SXSW and is now set to be released by Netflix theatrically in New York and Los Angeles, along with a simultaneous streaming release.

Print The Legend examines the visionaries at the forefront of the 3D printing movement, from start-ups like MakerBot and Formlabs, to larger companies like Stratasys and 3D Systems. The documentary also profiles Cody Wilson, the man who was named “one of the most dangerous people in the world” when he released plans for 3D printing guns online in 2013.

Print The Legend will be released theatrically in New York and Los Angeles, as well as online via Netflix on September 26, 2014.
