Star of Maze Runner Films Injured In Set Accident

March 18th, 2016 by RVNA Production Insurance

Dylan O’Brien, the star of the “Maze Runner” films, was injured in an accident while filming the latest in the postapocalyptic series, “Maze Runner: The Death Cure,” according to 20th Century Fox.

“Dylan O’Brien was injured yesterday while filming ‘Maze Runner: The Death Cure’ in Vancouver, Canada,” the studio said. “He was immediately transferred to a local hospital for observation and treatment. Production on the film will be shut down while he recovers. Our thoughts go out to Dylan for a full and speedy recovery.”

James Dashner, the author of the “Maze Runner” novels, tweeted that O’Brien will be fine. “I just want to let everyone know that yes, Dylan was hurt, but that he’s going to be okay. Not life threatening in any way,” tweeted Dashner.

Despite the non-threatening injury, this accident on-set is yet another reminder why production insurance is so important. Despite even the best safety practices, accidents can happen and people can get hurt.
